Dental Aerosol Protection

INVESTING IN THE SAFETY OF OUR PATIENTS AND STAFF

The COVID19 pandemic has brought attention to the dangers of aeorsols and airborne transmission risks of the virus. In addition to following infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) we have made an investment in Extraoral Dental Suction Machines to help contain and reduce aerosols created during dental procedures.

These extra oral suction system provide high volume removal of droplets and aerosols and utilize a powerful HEPA filter which safely captures microbes such as viruses and other contaminants within biological aerosols. This will be an additional layer of safety we have added to facilitate the care and protection of both our patients and our staff.

Isolite Evacuation System

We also will be using the Isolite Evacuation System which has been a part of our practice for many years now. It provides additional protection against dental aerosols.

Many patients have remarked on how comfortable and relaxing it is as it helps stabilize your jaw and reduces all airborne particles, including bacteria, viruses, blood, and saliva.

The everyday use of this aerosol minimization product, which is similar to the rubber dam, is another great addition to our safety protocol making your dental appointment efficient and creating a safer environment for patients and staff.
